Accessibility

We want as many people as possible to be able to use The VC Gallery website, including people who use assistive technology or need information presented differently.

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Our aim

We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA where reasonably possible.

As the website develops, we aim to make sure that people can:

  • navigate using a keyboard as well as a mouse or touchscreen;
  • zoom text and page content without losing important information;
  • use clear headings, labels and link text;
  • understand images through appropriate alternative text where needed;
  • use the site at different screen sizes and orientations; and
  • read content with sufficient colour contrast and without relying on colour alone.

Known limitations

We are continuing to review the site and may not have identified every accessibility issue yet. Some third-party content, embedded social-media features, older documents or media supplied to us by other organisations may not meet the same accessibility standard as the rest of the site.

Content added over time by different members of staff may also occasionally need adjustment. If you find something that is difficult to use, please tell us so that we can improve it.

Alternative formats and support

If you need information from this website in a different format, such as larger text, an accessible document, Welsh, or another reasonable format, contact us and tell us what you need. We will do our best to help.

Email admin@thevcgallery.com or call 01437 765873.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If something on the website stops you from accessing information or completing a task, please tell us what page you were using, what went wrong and, if useful, what device or assistive technology you were using.

We will consider the issue and aim to provide the information another way while we investigate a suitable fix.

Reviewing this statement

We will review this statement as the website changes and as accessibility testing identifies improvements that need to be made.
